Eric Weiman's nimble fingers and passion for playing the electric guitar have always helped him escape humdrum homework or the annoyances of his younger brother, Teddy. Now they are taking him on a journey 2,000 miles from home, to play in an important guitar contest in the musical mecca of New Orleans. Eric needs to win, but he will meet with serious opposition, and not just from superior musicians. With Ben Woo and Lashley Moran, his new-found New Orleans buddies, Eric discovers what real friends can do when the chips are down. With them, he also gets to sample the sights, food, and fun of this lively city.
